NYC Schools

Students, Teachers, and Parents weigh in on State of the Schools

This article talks about NYC schools, and how students, teachers, and parents responded to a Department of Education survey. They were happy with their schools. Even the teachers said they were happy maintaining order and making it a priority to help students achieve their goals. This is the second year in a row that the city has conducted the survey of nearly 1.5 million students, teachers, and parents. There were some signs of trouble and dissatisfaction, but this year the students felt more comfortable and safe in the hallways, bathrooms, and locker rooms. 72 percent this year of students than 68 percent of them last year were more safe. 94 percent of the 347,829 parents who responded to the survey, said they were satisfied or very satisfied with their child's teacher. I agree with this article because it is helpful to a lot of students, teachers, and parents. I haven't taken the survey, but I am satisfied with my education.
